Uzoaru Chidi Blessing

Uzoaru Chidi Blessing is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Economist working in internal audit, compliance and risk. He is currently undertaking a PhD in Economics at the University of Abuja.

He holds an M.Sc. in Economics and a B.Sc. in Economics, both from the University of Abuja, a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers Institute, Kaduna. He is an Associate Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

He has served as Senior Auditor at Ecnpartners, where he led the internal audit function, ran risk assessments, built annual audit plans and reviewed financial statements and operations for accuracy and regulatory compliance. Earlier roles include Internal Auditor at COCO-CAFE, NISA Pharmacy and Denis Hotel, and Auditor at the United Bank for Africa (UBA), where he started in banking operations and branch audits.

His work covers financial auditing and reporting under IFRS, enterprise risk assessment, internal control design, stock and inventory control, revenue assurance, procurement review, payroll control and corporate governance, across banking, hospitality, pharmaceuticals and fast-moving consumer goods.
